Yahoo contacts email, how do I create a contact list & not have them show up individually in my contacts folde
I made 2 seperate contact lists, let's say: friends and church, and yet they all show up individually on the main list. Can this be changed ?

Reply:At the top and at the very bottom of your contacts list you will see the option. Click on "Add to Category."

Ok I downloaded the new msn and all my contacts are shown in the form of their email address. When they come online it changes to their display name and when they go offline it stays as their display name like normally. But is there any way to get all teh contacts that haven't gone online yet to go back to their display name instead of their email address.

Are you using a firewall? I'm guessing that you are, and you may have it set just a bit too high. Try lowering your firewall, or temporarily suspending it and see if anyone can get thru. Want a good laugh? I had a friend who set hers so high that even SHE couldn't get into her e-mail account and had to contact her ISP.

I generally am in the reptiles cause of my 37 yr old red eared sliders and its overloaded with TROLLS.
Wish we could have a big BBQ get together of sorts with our contacts and dogs...without Trolls!!!.some where sometime.
We could have a blast. I believe most of us are women.

Unable to 'Add to Contacts' from email received - Help!?
I've received a forwarded email. All the email addresses within the content are underlined. When I hover over them I have the option to open an email to the address, or to Add the address to my Contacts. When I click on the 'add to Contacts' I get a Yahoo Shortcut dialogue box that pops up with nothing in it. The function fails. Any help, much appreciated!

Why are my email contacts suddenly being told I am not a sbcglobal member and refused access to my acct.?
You either had an Offline Mail Server OR a Temporary Suspended email address. Then Yahoo faults out and says you don`t exist and returns all messages back to them.

IF A PASSWORD ISSUE....possible problem may be yahoo recently made it so you cant use alot of symbols we had been able to for years which really is lame since they added all this security all over the site and even a meter to show how good a password is on page when you make a new ID and yet at the same time they make it so we cant use symbols in passwords

If you're using the All-New Yahoo! mail, you can click on Options on the upper right, and select "Import Contacts". This method will allow you to import your Contacts list AND emails. Just follow the steps provided. When you click on Import Contacts, another window will open. You will see what other options are available for transferring from one account to another.
So if you're using Yahoo! Classic mail, and you'd like to use the above option to transfer emails (not folders), you can easily switch to the All-New mail by clicking the All-New mail link at the very upper right of your mail page. You can switch back to Classic the same way.

Why yahoo mail block some contacts email from getting in to my inbox?
I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you asking why mail from someone in your contacts list is sent to the spam folder rather than your inbox?
If so, that's a mystery to me as well. It seems like there's a hiccup occasionally and yahoo just decides to send something to spam even after you'd been receiving from them for ever and a day AND have added them to your address book.
The only thing to do is to report it and maybe if enough of us report it they'll look for the error and fix it.

How do I automatically transfer my email contacts to Yahoo? Bellsouth.net is not on the list. Help!?
Unfortunately, there is no way to do it automatically. With Bellsouth you cannot import or export your webmail address book. You have to do it manually.

How do I send a copy of a report to all contacts using the bcc method of showing only l name per email?
I am trying to send bcc to clients but do not know how to use this feature. I know how to copy onto the email but don't know what to do to send bcc where it looks like I sent to only one person. I don't understand the process. Can someone simplify this? Thanks

To send an e-mail to all the contacts with "BCC" method::
1) Select "Compose";
2) Then Copy %26amp; Paste the matter in "Text" box;
3) At "TO" field -- either type the e-mail address of the person (the one you would like to show);
4) Click on "Add BCC" located below to "From" field;
5) An empty field will appear with "BCC" beside to it;
6) Move your mouse to "BCC" %26amp; click on it;
7) Your Address Book will be opened;
8) Check the "BCC" box beside to the addresses you would like to send the mail as a BCC copy;
9) Click on "Insert Checked Contacts"
10) All those addresses will be entered in the "BCC" Field;
11) Click on "Send".
Your copy of a report will be sent to all the contacts in BCC method except one contact that you have entered in TO field.

In Answers, click on your picture or avatar, then click on Edit My Info. Scroll down until you see the section on email %26amp; communications. Remove the checkmarks if you don't want the email. THat's what's filling up your inbox!
Don't forget to save your changes.

I can email contacts in my address book but their responses are being filtered. Why?
I'm not sure I understand your question, but if you mean they are being blocked, it could be because you don't have their email address in your contact list.
If you don't, the spam filter will block them.
Go to your blocked addresses list and check.
Click on "Options" from the upper right of your yahoo mail page.
Click on "Block Addresses" and when the list opens, look for your friends names. When you find them, highlight them and click "Remove Block."

When you ask/answer a ques. can your email contacts see what you have asked? because i ask some personal stuff
Not your 'email' contacts, but the people who show as 'fans' or 'contacts' in your 'Answers' profile can.
If your 'email' contacts aren't also going to be 'Answers' buddies, no problem. If they are, you can set your Q%26amp;As to 'private' and not allow 'fans' or 'contacts' (not even your friends), or you can start a new 'Answers' account and tell your buds your old one got hacked (new account is better in this situation).

When you click on your mail page and then go to the address tab one of top choices should be add a contact and then the page should switch. A new window does not pop up the page should completely change. If the page does not you can try sending a fake email to that person then after you send it it will ask you if you want to add it to your address book. Try doing it then. I hope this helps

Sometimes I wish to offer a thought on an interesting question but it gets resolved quickly. Sometimes I have worked on an answer for a good while and am too late to get it in and I would send it by email if I could.

Good point canron I do not know why some people do not let us add them as contacts or send them emails I think it is a beautiful thing that we can share ideas, thoughts and answers from the people on here who have answered my questions or vice/versa theirs....So many great minds have emailed me a futher thought to my questions and by God I am no greatful for their time and futher thoughts on a particular thought from the past :))))

It is not possible to limit your mail just to your current contacts. However, Yahoo's spam guard is very good for junk. Make sure it is on. On the Yahoo mail page click Options, then Mail Options and then Spam. Make sure the check box is checked for spam guard at the top of that page. Yahoo screens out perhaps 95% of the bad messages automatically.
After that, anytime you get a bad message that slips through click the Spam button. Yahoo will learn what you do not like.

You can check your trash folder. If your trash folder has not been emptied then it will be in there. If your trash folder has been emptied then it is gone. Sorry!!!

I am trying to find an email contact for Radio Habana, or Radio Havana?
I am in the UK and want to follow up a programme that was on Radio Habana earlier in the year. I have found a couple of email numbers on the web, but when I send them they just get sent back. Can emails from the UK get through to Cuba?
Hope somebody can help.
I am also interested in contacting a 'Yahoo friend', possibly in Cuba, who is aware of the Opera History of Cuba.

If you canceled an account or just stopped using it until Yahoo! officially deactivated an account, there would be no way to retrive any old emails or contact lists.
